Size & Fit
Can any pickup truck use the same mat size?
No. Do not assume one mat size fits every pickup truck.
North American pickup trucks vary widely by cab style, bed length, wheelbase, tire position, and garage layout. Measure the full vehicle footprint and tire area before choosing a mat. If your truck has a long bed, crew cab, oversized tires, or limited garage clearance, check the Size & Fit page or contact DremGara® Support before ordering.
What size should I choose?
Choose a mat that covers your vehicle footprint plus the areas where water, snow, mud, and drips usually fall. Measure your vehicle length and width, then check your garage space before ordering.
Will it fit my SUV or truck?
It may fit many SUVs and trucks, depending on the mat size and your garage layout. Always measure your vehicle and parking space before purchase.
How much extra space should I leave?
Leave enough margin for tire position, door drips, snowmelt, and normal parking variation. A slightly larger protection zone is usually more useful than a mat that barely fits the tires.
Can I trim the mat?
Do not trim the mat if you want to keep its containment function. Cutting may damage the raised-edge structure. If you only want to use it as a flat mat without containment, trimming is at your own discretion. If current sizes do not fit your garage, contact DremGara® Support with your preferred size.
Installation
How do I install it?
Clear the floor, unroll the mat near its final location, let it relax, install the foam strip into the drainage outlet pocket if included, seal the hook-and-loop closure, align the mat with your vehicle, and secure corners or edges if needed.
Do I need permanent glue?
No. The mat does not require permanent glue or floor coating. Some models include adhesive hook-and-loop strips for optional corner or edge positioning support.
Will the mat stay in place?
The mat is designed for normal garage use on a level, stable surface. If your package includes adhesive strips, they can help secure corners or edges. Avoid sharp steering, sudden braking, or aggressive tire movement on the mat.
What if the edges curl?
Temporary curling can happen after shipping or storage. Lay the mat flat, allow it to relax, and avoid parking on curled edges until the mat settles.
Do I need to install the foam strip?
Yes, if your model includes a foam strip for the drainage outlet. The foam helps restore the raised edge at the drainage area during normal containment use.
Should the drainage outlet stay sealed?
Yes. Keep the drainage outlet hook-and-loop closure sealed during normal use. Open it only when you are actively draining or cleaning.
Performance
Will the raised edge collapse if an SUV drives over it?
The raised edge is designed to help rebound after normal vehicle contact, but performance depends on vehicle weight, tire position, floor condition, temperature, and how the mat is used.
Avoid parking with tires resting on the raised edge for long periods. For best containment performance, position the vehicle so the tires sit inside the mat area rather than on top of the edge.
Is it waterproof?
DremGara® is designed with a water-control surface to help contain common garage moisture such as rainwater and snowmelt. For best results, remove standing water and keep the drainage outlet sealed during normal use.
Can it hold snowmelt?
Yes, it is designed to help contain common snowmelt, slush, and winter runoff within the mat area. Heavy buildup should be removed as part of regular maintenance.
Can it handle road salt?
It helps keep road salt residue and dirty runoff off bare concrete. Clean salt residue regularly, especially during winter.
Does it absorb water?
No. DremGara® is not an absorbent mat. It is designed to help contain water on the mat surface so it can be removed or drained.
Can it catch oil or fluid drips?
It can help catch everyday garage drips on the mat surface, but it is not an absorbent oil pad or hazardous chemical spill system. Clean oil, fuel, and unknown fluids immediately and follow safety guidance.
Cleaning & Care
How do I clean it?
Sweep loose debris first. For wet messes, rinse or wipe the surface, then use a squeegee to move water, snowmelt, or debris toward a safe cleanup area or drainage outlet. Let the mat dry after cleaning.
Can I hose it off?
Yes, if your garage setup allows safe rinsing and drainage. Make sure the mat dries afterward.
Can I use a pressure washer?
Use caution. High pressure may damage the surface, edges, adhesive areas, or drainage components. A gentle rinse is safer for regular care.
Can I use soap?
Use diluted neutral cleaner for heavier dirt. Mild dish soap may be used for small localized oil or grime marks. Avoid harsh chemicals, corrosive cleaners, chlorine bleach, and abrasive tools.
How often should I clean it?
Clean it whenever water, mud, salt, or debris builds up. In winter or rainy seasons, clean more often.
Storage
How should I store the mat?
Clean it, let it fully dry, roll it instead of folding it, and store it indoors in a cool, dry area away from sharp objects, heavy pressure, heat, flames, and chemicals.
Can I fold it?
Yes, you can. But please do not hard fold the mat that may create creases that take longer to flatten during the next use.
Can I store it outside?
Indoor storage is recommended. Outdoor storage may expose the mat to UV, moisture, dirt, and temperature changes.
Shipping & Returns
What if my mat arrives with wrinkles?
Temporary wrinkles or waves may occur during shipping. Lay the mat flat and allow it to relax before regular use.
What if my mat has a temporary smell after unboxing?
A temporary scent after unboxing can happen with manufactured PVC-style products. Ventilate the garage and allow the mat to air out.
